sold
the landlord's realtor called this afternoon to let us know that the house we are living in sold last night. this is good because i have done nothing but clean, clean, clean, and shuffle my kids around for days while people with no respect for loser tenants like us showed up pretty much any time they wanted to poke through my home and peek in my closets. this, however, is not good as it seals the fate of our tenancy here, which makes us rather sad as we really like this house and the rent is relatively reasonable. the housing market being what it is in this greedy city, we are suffering a bit from shock as we peruse possibilities which are more and more scarce and more and more expensive. i am told that only tokyo has a lower vacancy rate than calgary right now. in any case, i am glad that i don't have to show the house any more, and we can enjoy the time we have left here. And... big news! Angela is coming tomorrow. we are very excited and hope she enjoys her stay. anyone else? there's room... at least until we move.

Your mom mentioned that your house was being sold -- it didn't even occur to me that it would mean showing the house with you guys still in it. Ugh!
